The Energy of Unconditional Love

Pure Unconditional Love is the most powerful vibration, force, Energy, in the entire Universe, in all spheres of life and reality.

This is a deeper article than I normally would share in my lifestyle blog however it’s such a big part of my life and I wanted to share it in hopes it may help other people.

Being a child of an alcoholic should make me feel afraid of authority, be an approval seeker, feel like a victim, have low self esteem and not trust anyone. I may have inherited the feeling of not being comfortable in my own skin all the time but it’s something I am always working to fix. Those traits are not who I choose to be nor will it be how I am.   I do not depend on others to tell me who I am. I don’t live my life from the standpoint of a victim and don’t look for that in my relationships.  I am very independent and don’t judge myself for any of my life choices, just learn from the bad ones.

Traveling the world makes you appreciate everything you have.  Not everyone has love, a home or even food on the table. Despite my father having problems internally I received unconditional love from him.  I had everything I wanted and needed and felt the love any child should have. We have so many special childhood moments of playing catch, going fishing, camping and travelling.  We have a special bond that can’t be broken. You grow up and your dad is your hero.  My dad still is my hero.  He has made so many strides that were so hard and jumped through so many hurdles.

Seeing someone that is sick with addiction is one of the hardest things to live with.  You feel helpless and only want to make that person better.  You can’t.  You can be there for them but you can’t ever fix someone.  I think the hardest thing for people dealing with addiction is not knowing what to do.  Should you make them get help?  Should you stop talking to them and cut them off financially?  Should you just be there for them?  Honestly, I don’t think there are any right answers and every situation is different.  Fortunately there are amazing people that you can reach out to that specialize in addiction who can help you cope or help you to help that person.

I can see and love the essence in my father without any exceptions. I have practiced Reiki energy in hopes to send him positive thoughts and healing.  Making such a huge change in your life can be scary, sad and confusing and its important to be there for the people you love.

Shame from past experiences may make the person have a hard time feeling content but shit happens, you should forgive yourself and move on with a positive outlook on life. It may take two months or two years but it will get better if you work on getting help.  You may need different forms of help; mental and physical.

Some may not have received the love they needed as a child but are still able to accept it as an adult. Your past experiences don’t have to determine your future. Love that is unconditional transcends time, place and behavior.  Past behaviors are forgiven and we only hope that the person is happy inside.  My only hope for people that are going through addiction, whether they are the one addicted or a friend or family member of the addicted, is that you can find someone to talk to and seek the help that you need and know that it can get better. Every small step is a step in the right direction.

While I am not religious, this verse is an appropriate representation of how I feel.

And now I will show you the most excellent way.

If I speak in the tongues of men and of Angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrong. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails. But where there are prophesies they will cease, where there are tongues they will be stilled, where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part. But when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears.

When I was a child I talked like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror, then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part, then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

And now these three remain; faith, hope and love. And the greatest of these is Love

Sasha, those who are wise beyond their years are a bit of an enigma. They’re young, but they’ve got the wisdom of someone with an old soul. They see into things that others normally wouldn’t. Life can take on a whole new meaning for people who are wise beyond their years.
