Venice, Italy is a truly special place that is sinking and may not always be there. The city on the water is a place known as one of the most romantic cities in the world. A gondola ride through the Grand Canal will show you just a piece of the beauty of Venice. It will also have a distinct smell that is not the most pleasing.
Stepping foot off of the boat you will immediately wonder how you are going to get where you are suppose to go as there are no street signs only numbers. You will wander for a while but you will eventually make it to where you are going.

Spend an afternoon in Piazza San Marco (St Marks Basilica, Doges Palace, Campanile) at Cafe Florian and you will never want to leave that exact moment in time.
